I absolutely love winter light and this wonderful Liverpool engagement shoot just shows why! Heather and Mike have the best engagement story too! A transatlantic love.. They met on a cruise ship, fell head over heels and then got engaged just a few months later- how romantic! We scheduled our shoot for Heather’s visit to the UK and the whole session was just such a pleasure to photograph. Thank you both for a wonderful afternoon!

This has to be my favourite blog post of the year! Yet again I have the absolute pleasure of re-living all the wonderful memories, moments and total joy from the year just gone. The only hardship of this job is the terrible trial of having to choose a sensible number to share! I have finally managed to whittle it down!
I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the incredible couples and families who I have had the absolute honour to get to know and all wonderful moments I have had the privilege to share and capture – what a job I have!
And finally I ended my year with the most special arrival ever… our little boy Finley Robert Williams! He gets the honour of kicking off this years highlights….
This just has to be one of my favourite locations for an engagement shoot! Formby beach just has it all – atmospheric pine woodlands leading to gigantic sand dunes and a picture perfect skyline… Needless to say we had a fantastic session. Rachael and Matt’s amazing sense of fun and adventure were a valuable asset as we navigated around our location looking for the perfect spots. They willingly scrambled up the surprisingly exhausting dunes and did an amazing job making each other laugh in front of the camera (not always the easiest feat!) Can’t wait to capture their wedding day next year! To chat about planning your engagement shoot just drop me a message in the contact section.
Being a big fan of all things rural… I loved Kate and Dan’s choice of Delamere forest for their engagement shoot. We were really lucky with the weather and had all the benefits of the stunning autumn colour without any of the less fun wintry parts! Like most clients I work with, Dan and Kate had some nerves about being in front of the camera but with regular sharing of the beautiful images they were creating and a few pose suggestions, any apprehension quickly disappeared. We took a long walk around the forest and found some great spots to capture really natural moments. The low light also provided some interesting opportunities to create striking silhouette shots(my personal favourites!). The engagement shoot definitely gave us a good opportunity to get to know each other better and I loved hearing all about their story. Such a happy, relaxed and truly in love couple to shoot! I can’t wait to be a part of their big day in 2016!
