Best bits…. Always such a wonderful blog post to write and share. I am a self confessed lover of all things nostalgic (does a year ago count? I think so!) and reminiscing in general – so this is right up my street.
Last year has both flashed before my eyes and at the same time, been so jammed packed full of wonderful memories, that it seemed to stretch forever… The arrival of a certain little Finley Williams in late 2016 has certainly changed our lives in ways we never imagined possible and this first year has been one I will treasure.
It has also marked the start of my journey as a working mum! I’ve certainly learnt a lot – including how to make the most of every precious second of nap times!! 2017 was my busiest year yet with so many wonderful weddings, new arrivals and family sessions. I have been blessed to witness and capture an incredible array of emotion bursting moments and loved every second!
A want to say a HUGE thank you to all my wonderful clients who have made this year extra special and wish you all a fantastic 2018!

This has to be my favourite blog post of the year! Yet again I have the absolute pleasure of re-living all the wonderful memories, moments and total joy from the year just gone. The only hardship of this job is the terrible trial of having to choose a sensible number to share! I have finally managed to whittle it down!
I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the incredible couples and families who I have had the absolute honour to get to know and all wonderful moments I have had the privilege to share and capture – what a job I have!
And finally I ended my year with the most special arrival ever… our little boy Finley Robert Williams! He gets the honour of kicking off this years highlights….
This was such a wonderfully relaxed family photography session with the beautiful little Esme. The session took place in the morning, right before 6 month old Esme’s christening – a great time to catch all the family in one place and lots of excitement before the big day. I really love this age for photographing new little ones as their personalities are starting to show and the smiles are so precious. Esme just loved standing up and had a fantastically proud look on her face, too cute! I had great fun capturing all that happens during a busy morning of preparation including lunchtime feeds, cuddles with grandma and getting changed into her gorgeous christening dress. How striking are those amazing blue eyes! Thank you to all the family for a wonderful morning together! Here are a few of my favourites….
How to book your family photography session…
Firstly, you can see more of my work with families and children in my family portfolio section. I like to work at a location that suits you and your family. This could be your own home, a park, the beach or on a family walk or outing to a city near you… It’s totally up to you 🙂 However, if your stuck for ideas I have loads of great suggestions and locations up my sleeve!

This lifestyle newborn photography session was particularly special after having captured Rebecca with her beautiful bump only a few weeks before. The gorgeous baby Frank was born just a week after our maternity shoot together, so we got in there just in time! For this newborn session I spent a wonderfully relaxed morning photographing Rebecca and Rich with their new arrival. As ever it was such a privilege to capture these precious early memories and family moments. Frank was a little natural in front of the camera and his big blue eyes were totally mesmerising! A huge congratulations to Rebecca and Rich!

I absolutely love this super relaxed newborn photography session, so many smiles and beautiful real mummy and baby moments. Little Megan was very well behaved and decided to have a big sleep half way through. I have to admit I do love capturing those really cute sleepy poses and little pouts! Megan didn’t disappoint and made the sweetest faces throughout. It is such a complete privilege to be able to capture such amazingly special moments in a families life. Massive congratulations to Sarah and Jordi!
So as promised, today’s blog is part two with the Wilk family and features their gorgeous newborn lifestyle session with baby Amelia. It was so special visiting the Wilk’s for a second time and being able to document the family’s transition from three to four! Olivia was a very proud big sister and did a great job when posing for cuddle shots. We managed to get lots of relaxed photos of the whole family and even accidentally caught Amelia posing as a mini rocker!! See below for evidence! I hope it makes you smile as much as it did me!! Thank you to Su and Adam for choosing me to photograph these two very special family events. To see more of my work with new arrivals take a look at my portfolio and don’t hesitate to ask for more details on my ‘bump to baby’ packages.
This family photography session was a total delight! Absolutely loved Claire’s local location choice of Grappenhall Walled Gardens. It had loads of exciting paths and hiding places for the girls to explore and even a little tea room too. I had great fun capturing Ruby and Eve scramble up trees and new addition Zander was really adorable too, not a peep throughout! Thank you Claire and Marek for a fantastic afternoon! To see more from my lifestyle work take a look at my ‘Family Portfolio‘ and don’t hesitate to drop me a message in the contact section to chat about your ideas. I always love to explore new locations!
So so excited to be sharing this beautiful maternity photography shoot! I probably won’t be able to explain why I love it so much and maybe I should just let the images speak for themselves… but I might just have a little try anyway! I think one of the reasons I enjoyed this shoot so much was that Rebecca was totally into getting as creative as possible. This meant we tried out so many different ideas and there is nothing like a spot of experimentation to get me in the zone. I absolutely love the clean sleek silhouettes we created against the living room windows and we also managed to find a perfectly placed mirror to reflect that wonderful curve. Then a little later we struck light gold- just for a few minutes the most stunning golden winter light shone through at the perfect moment. What a fab morning!
I can also very happily report that Rebecca gave birth to the super cute baby Frank a week after our shoot and both are doing really well. In fact I met him for the first time during our new born shoot last week- cannot wait to get editing!

I really enjoyed meeting this gorgeous little man in our new born photography session a few weeks ago. Baby Fionnbarra was just four weeks old here and still in that adorable sleepy and super cuddly stage. I loved Dee and Jamie’s idea to capture Fionn having a bath- how cute are those little arms! Capturing images in the home environment is always ideal for new arrivals as it takes away all the stress of getting out the house and means that I can photograph all those really relaxed natural moments. Thank you Dee, Jamie and Fionn for a wonderful morning!
This family photography session was super fun in a number of ways! Firstly, lets just say that the weather was more than a little challenging! I absolutely loved the fact that Cheryl and the family didn’t let it put them off one bit. If anything I think the gale force winds and sheets of rain added to the excitement!? (Well maybe for the first half hour anyway!!) This family shoot actually involved three families coming together for a secret pre Christmas shoot with the images being delivered to Grandma on the big day, what a great idea. Formby beach is always such a fab location for photography and particularly enjoyable for families. This occasion was no exception with all four children having great fun exploring and then allowing me to capture all those gorgeous natural moments. It was all finished off with ice creams for the kids, as you do in November! Love it! I can’t deny that we were all rather pleased to let our hands and toes defrost after but I absolutely love the results from our session, so full of smiles and energy. Thanks for a great afternoon all!
It might have taken me a while to write this post (it’s accidentally ended up in February- oops!) however, that’s mainly because there were so many fab moments from 2015 to choose from. It really has been an exciting year for me- I have learnt so much and met so many amazing people.
I have been lucky enough to photograph an incredible range of occasions, places, people and animals! From gorgeous emotion filled weddings, locally in Liverpool and as far a field as Malta! To super cute tiny babies and those strikingly beautiful horses and their owners. I just adore the fact that my job allows me to see so much and look at the world in so many different ways!
So here are a few of my favourites…this was very hard to narrow down! Once again thank you all my amazing clients who have made my year so special!
