Eaves Hall Wedding // Rachael & Matt //

Eaves Hall Wedding Photography

Rachael and Matt’s Eaves Hall wedding really was something a little bit special. After photographing the couple for their engagement shoot  I was sure that the day would be totally fun filled and they did not disappoint! The couple tied the knot in the beautiful rural church of St Huberts, Clitheroe. Not only was the journey to the ceremony across the most stunning countryside but the inside of the church was also truly breathtaking!

The reception then followed at the wonderful Eaves Hall. This is just a perfect setting for wedding photography, plus Rachael and Matt’s meticulous and creative planning made for a fantastic wedding to capture.

Watch out for all Rachael’s beautiful stationary details in the shots below and you can view and buy more from this talented lady by following the link in the suppliers section.

Mitton Hall Wedding Photography // Will & Beth //

Mitton Hall Wedding Photography

Mitton Hall is such a stunning venue for a wedding and Will and Beth were just an absolute pleasure to photograph!

I have to start by mentioning Beth’s incredible dress… An absolutely show stopping Jesus Peiro number with the most beautiful crisp clean lines. Beth looked just amazing in it and I did definitely develop a slight photo obsession!!

The 15th century manor house has so many gorgeous period features and provided a really intimate and striking setting for Will and Beth’s fun filled day. The ceremony itself took place in the beautiful conservatory area with heaps of gorgeous natural light and views out to lots of lovely greenery in the grounds of the hall. The whole day was filled with so much warmth and lots of laughter- just perfect! Wishing you guys every happiness for the future!

Here are a few of my favourites below 🙂

Louise and Tommi – The Ashes Barn Wedding

As soon as I drove up the beautiful long drive to The Ashes wedding venue I just knew it was going to be a super special day and I wasn’t wrong! Louise and Tommi had chosen to tie the knot at the stunning rustic barn venue in Staffordshire on the edge of the Peak District. This venue is right up my street with a really relaxed and rural vibe. The day was filled with the most wonderful sense of warmth and laughter throughout. I loved their attention to detail in the styling of the venue and particularly the ‘Moomin’ table names- a great link to Tommi’s Finnish roots. I’m very excited to share a selection of shots from this beautiful day. Thank you Louise and Tommi  for choosing me to capture your amazing day and I wish you every happiness!

Elizabeth and Gary’s Autumnal Handmade Wedding – Liverpool

Whether your planning your own Autumn wedding or simply fancy being inspired by a truly relaxed and heart-warming wedding then look no further than Elizabeth and Gary’s autumnal handmade wedding in Liverpool. This beautiful day is a feast for the eyes with a riot of Autumn colour with so many gorgeous homemade and unique touches. I had the privilege of photographing Gary and Elizabeth’s wedding right from the pre- wedding decorating of the venue to the fantastic live performances late at night. What a total pleasure!

In this blog post I have the absolute joy of being able to share a few words from the bride herself. Here she talks about what motivated her to choose the Autumn and how the limits of her budget inspired her to be even more creative.

From early childhood I have always enjoyed Autumn; the changing rich warm colours, the abundant harvest of apples from the trees in my back garden that would keep us going all winter, the crisper cool air and crunching of leaves underfoot as Mother Nature began winding down for the winter.

I have always suited wearing autumnal colours and am drawn to those occasions that bring people together like festivals, fetes and bonfires. For our wedding, we wanted to create an atmosphere of warmth and love, where everyone felt comfortable and at home. We wanted none of the pressure that so often comes with a wedding invite. The dress code was ‘smart, casual or quirky’ encouraging people to wear whatever suited them, whether that was a Tux, trainers or stormtrooper costume!

The venue was a little known Tithebarn tucked away in Melling. It was a blank canvas for us to dress with all manner of natural artefacts and hanging hoops inspired by 1970’s spirograph drawings. With a limited budget  for the whole wedding, we took to foraging in Formby Woods and Calderstones Park for ivy, autumn leaves, pine cones and other natural forms to weave into a driftwood archway (collected over 15 years by my ‘best woman’) a ceiling wreath and numerous other decorations, including my own headdress and flowers.

Two nights before the wedding, our close friends and family gathered to decorate the venue, carve pumpkins and arrange the venue. The whole wedding was busy but stress-free, and cemented friendship and family connections in a deep and meaningful way.

What a totally unique and inspiring wedding day to capture. Thank you so much to Elizabeth and Gary for asking me to be a part of your amazing day. Wishing you every happiness as Mr and Mrs x

Southport Pier Pre-Wedding Shoot – Colin & Karen

Southport Pier Pre -Wedding Shoot

When Colin and Karen suggested Southport for their pre-wedding shoot I was just a little bit excited! I knew it would provide so many exciting opportunities for unique and eye catching images and it did not disappoint! We decided to aim for a dusk shoot as this meant there were slightly less people and of course that beautifully soft evening light. We had such fun in the arcade section, where I just couldn’t get enough of all that amazing bright colour and then onto the famous Southport Pier! Now the light had really faded we were blessed with stunning atmospheric skies – so romantic…! Thank you Colin and Karen for a fantastic evening- I can’t wait for the big day next year!

Having a pre-wedding shoot is such a great idea to help you relax in front of the camera and also a fantastic opportunity for us to get to know each other more before the big day. I have lots of tricks to help you relax and encourage those all important relaxed and natural moments. The best part is that when you book a wedding package the pre- wedding shoot comes at a big discount, so all the more reason to go for it!

To see more of my pre-wedding and couples shoots take a look at my engagement portfolio. Here you will see loads of ideas for locations too. And you don’t have to be getting married to have a shoot…. what a great idea to celebrate an anniversary or special occasion!

The Plough Inn, Cheshire Wedding Photography – Martin & Larysa

This was a beautifully intimate and special wedding in the heart of gorgeous countryside at The Plough Inn, Cheshire. I absolutely fell in love with this location! I started the day by photographing the stunning dinning room, such a fantastic sense of history complimented by the delicate table dressing. The ceremony itself was held in the equally picturesque Gawsworth Church – what an interior! The churches surroundings were also fabulous for providing so many beautiful leafy backdrops for the photographs. Take a look below to see some of my favourites from the day and don’t miss the cutest animal cake topper!! Love it! A huge congratulations to Larysa and Martin, wishing you every happiness!

Rebecca and Matt- Aldwark Manor Wedding

Rebecca and Matt tied the knot at the beautiful Aldwark Manor just outside of York. A fantastically grand venue surrounded by gorgeous countryside. Rebecca and her bridal party started the day in her super spacious suite with lots of fun, family and bubbles. This wedding day started as it meant to go on- filled with so much warmth, genuineness and laughter. I also absolutely loved being able to wander the stunning grounds for the couples portraits. We caught some beautiful evening light and a touch of that mysterious mist- all adding to the ambience of the shots. I also have to mention the gorgeous ‘name stone’ wedding favours lovingly made by Rebecca and her bridesmaids. What a great idea! We finished the day with a little bit of sparkler magic amongst the gorgeous autumn trees. What a truly joy filled day to be a part of. Thank you Becky and Matt for choosing me to record it all!
