Wedding & Portrait Photography – Liverpool, Cheshire and Lancashire
This has to be my favourite blog post of the year! Yet again I have the absolute pleasure of re-living all the wonderful memories, moments and total joy from the year just gone. The only hardship of this job is the terrible trial of having to choose a sensible number to share! I have finally managed to whittle it down!
I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the incredible couples and families who I have had the absolute honour to get to know and all wonderful moments I have had the privilege to share and capture – what a job I have!
And finally I ended my year with the most special arrival ever… our little boy Finley Robert Williams! He gets the honour of kicking off this years highlights….
So excited to be able to share more from Dan and Kate’s gorgeous Belle Epoque wedding. Goodness me were these guys blessed with the most beautiful weather! It was one of the hottest days in August and the skies were the bluest blue all day!
Dan and Kate tied the knot in a beautiful church ceremony before heading over to Belle Epoque for their reception. Check out the amazing floral decorations on the church door! These were just a joy to photograph and provided a gorgeous frame for all the family and group shots.
Belle Epoque in Knutsford, Cheshire was a fantastic setting to carry on the celebrations. I really love all the period features of the building and the outdoor area was just great for soaking up all that sun!
Knutsford itself is a beautiful little town and provided a great setting for our couples portraits. A gorgeous stroll in that summer light and I couldn’t be happier with the results.
A huge thank you to Dan and Kate for choosing me to capture your amazing day- I loved every second!
There was a lot to love about Jenny and Matt’s day from the fun filled bridal preparation, to the stunning church and then the reception at the beautiful Styal Lodge in Cheshire. This is a fantastic venue with a purpose built reception room clad in wood, high ceilings and lots of natural light. Not to mention that it’s set in the grounds of a golf course, so lots of great space for leafy landscape shots . I do love getting outdoors with my couples and wandering for that perfect shot!
Jenny and Matt had planned so many amazing details including a super cool table plan with photos of every guest and gorgeous wooden plinths for their tables centre pieces. Also have to mention that they had genuine tin cans on the back of their wedding car! I have waited so long to photography this classic wedding tradition! Loved it!
It really was the most gorgeous day to photograph and I was thrilled to hear Jenny and Matt were really pleased with the results too. Take a look at my kind words page to see their lovely comments.

Melissa and Andy had a beautifully relaxed urban wedding right in the heart of Liverpool. Right up my street! (Literally too!!) With an intimate ceremony to start in the iconic St George’s Hall and a fun filled reception at the totally unique Camp and Furnace, Melissa and Andy totally rocked getting married in Liverpool!
One of my highlights was getting to whizz off round the city for a full hour (Yes a full hour! Amazing!) during our portrait session. This meant we had loads of time to get creative and visit lots of my favourite spots. As an artist, I have always been drawn to the city’s strong lines and gritty landscape and Liverpool has so many epic buildings to choose from. A few weeks before the wedding I had great fun planning a route around a range of locations- some well know and some not so…
To finish the night we ventured up onto the Camp and Furnace’s amazing roof and timed it perfectly to get that stunning sunset… What a fantastic day! Thanks so much Melissa and Andy for choosing me to capture it all!

This was a beautifully intimate and special wedding in the heart of gorgeous countryside at The Plough Inn, Cheshire. I absolutely fell in love with this location! I started the day by photographing the stunning dinning room, such a fantastic sense of history complimented by the delicate table dressing. The ceremony itself was held in the equally picturesque Gawsworth Church – what an interior! The churches surroundings were also fabulous for providing so many beautiful leafy backdrops for the photographs. Take a look below to see some of my favourites from the day and don’t miss the cutest animal cake topper!! Love it! A huge congratulations to Larysa and Martin, wishing you every happiness!

Rebecca and Matt tied the knot at the beautiful Aldwark Manor just outside of York. A fantastically grand venue surrounded by gorgeous countryside. Rebecca and her bridal party started the day in her super spacious suite with lots of fun, family and bubbles. This wedding day started as it meant to go on- filled with so much warmth, genuineness and laughter. I also absolutely loved being able to wander the stunning grounds for the couples portraits. We caught some beautiful evening light and a touch of that mysterious mist- all adding to the ambience of the shots. I also have to mention the gorgeous ‘name stone’ wedding favours lovingly made by Rebecca and her bridesmaids. What a great idea! We finished the day with a little bit of sparkler magic amongst the gorgeous autumn trees. What a truly joy filled day to be a part of. Thank you Becky and Matt for choosing me to record it all!
It might have taken me a while to write this post (it’s accidentally ended up in February- oops!) however, that’s mainly because there were so many fab moments from 2015 to choose from. It really has been an exciting year for me- I have learnt so much and met so many amazing people.
I have been lucky enough to photograph an incredible range of occasions, places, people and animals! From gorgeous emotion filled weddings, locally in Liverpool and as far a field as Malta! To super cute tiny babies and those strikingly beautiful horses and their owners. I just adore the fact that my job allows me to see so much and look at the world in so many different ways!
So here are a few of my favourites…this was very hard to narrow down! Once again thank you all my amazing clients who have made my year so special!
