Best bits…. Always such a wonderful blog post to write and share. I am a self confessed lover of all things nostalgic (does a year ago count? I think so!) and reminiscing in general – so this is right up my street.
Last year has both flashed before my eyes and at the same time, been so jammed packed full of wonderful memories, that it seemed to stretch forever… The arrival of a certain little Finley Williams in late 2016 has certainly changed our lives in ways we never imagined possible and this first year has been one I will treasure.
It has also marked the start of my journey as a working mum! I’ve certainly learnt a lot – including how to make the most of every precious second of nap times!! 2017 was my busiest year yet with so many wonderful weddings, new arrivals and family sessions. I have been blessed to witness and capture an incredible array of emotion bursting moments and loved every second!
A want to say a HUGE thank you to all my wonderful clients who have made this year extra special and wish you all a fantastic 2018!

This has to be my favourite blog post of the year! Yet again I have the absolute pleasure of re-living all the wonderful memories, moments and total joy from the year just gone. The only hardship of this job is the terrible trial of having to choose a sensible number to share! I have finally managed to whittle it down!
I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the incredible couples and families who I have had the absolute honour to get to know and all wonderful moments I have had the privilege to share and capture – what a job I have!
And finally I ended my year with the most special arrival ever… our little boy Finley Robert Williams! He gets the honour of kicking off this years highlights….
This lifestyle newborn photography session was particularly special after having captured Rebecca with her beautiful bump only a few weeks before. The gorgeous baby Frank was born just a week after our maternity shoot together, so we got in there just in time! For this newborn session I spent a wonderfully relaxed morning photographing Rebecca and Rich with their new arrival. As ever it was such a privilege to capture these precious early memories and family moments. Frank was a little natural in front of the camera and his big blue eyes were totally mesmerising! A huge congratulations to Rebecca and Rich!

So as promised, today’s blog is part two with the Wilk family and features their gorgeous newborn lifestyle session with baby Amelia. It was so special visiting the Wilk’s for a second time and being able to document the family’s transition from three to four! Olivia was a very proud big sister and did a great job when posing for cuddle shots. We managed to get lots of relaxed photos of the whole family and even accidentally caught Amelia posing as a mini rocker!! See below for evidence! I hope it makes you smile as much as it did me!! Thank you to Su and Adam for choosing me to photograph these two very special family events. To see more of my work with new arrivals take a look at my portfolio and don’t hesitate to ask for more details on my ‘bump to baby’ packages.
Today’s family portraits session is the first of two special shoots with the Wilk family that I will be sharing over the next few days. Both are fab examples of how photographing your family in the home can be a great opportunity to capture lots of lovely natural moments. It was a total pleasure to work with expectant mum Su, Adam and the gorgeous Olivia. Four year old Olivia was really relaxed in her home and soon lost any shyness around the camera. My favourite moment from the shoot has to be Olivia playing doctors with the bump – how cute is that concentration face!! We also had a great time with the bubbles- I really love action shots! I’m really excited to be sharing part two tomorrow- keep tuned to meet the very cute baby Amelia! To have a chat about capturing your family at home don’t hesitate to give me a call or drop a message in the contact section.
This family photography session was super fun in a number of ways! Firstly, lets just say that the weather was more than a little challenging! I absolutely loved the fact that Cheryl and the family didn’t let it put them off one bit. If anything I think the gale force winds and sheets of rain added to the excitement!? (Well maybe for the first half hour anyway!!) This family shoot actually involved three families coming together for a secret pre Christmas shoot with the images being delivered to Grandma on the big day, what a great idea. Formby beach is always such a fab location for photography and particularly enjoyable for families. This occasion was no exception with all four children having great fun exploring and then allowing me to capture all those gorgeous natural moments. It was all finished off with ice creams for the kids, as you do in November! Love it! I can’t deny that we were all rather pleased to let our hands and toes defrost after but I absolutely love the results from our session, so full of smiles and energy. Thanks for a great afternoon all!
Did I mention I love autumn? Well I’m about to mention it a lot in this month’s blogs! October was a super busy, fun filled autumnal dream… I kicked the month off with a fantastic family portraits session in Calderstones Park, Liverpool. The Cassidy family were a dream to work with, so relaxed and little Ethan was a bundle of energy, making us smile the whole time. We kept the session really informal and just captured moments as they happened which created a lovely natural and intimate set of photographs. The autumn colour provided lots of vibrant backgrounds as well as good leaf confetti for Ethan! I definitely cannot write this post without mentioning Ethan’s stick! It reminded me so much of my childhood and my little brother’s necessity to always have a good stick at hand! Invaluable for all walks and very important for poking things and in my case, that ‘thing’ was mainly me!! Thank you Claire, Ian and Ethan for a wonderful afternoon!
If you would like to capture your family in relaxed and natural setting then don’t hesitate to contact me for a chat. I have lots of great locations up my sleeve for winter too! I just love working with that strong dramatic light that winter brings:)
